HOW JOHREI WORKS
Johrei (pronounced jo-RAY) is a Japanese spiritual healing practice, meaning “purification of the spirit,” developed by Mokichi Okada in 1935. It involves a non-invasive, non-contact technique where practitioners channel “divine light” or “universal energy” through their hands to the recipient to dispel negative energy, promote spiritual, mental, and physical well-being, and cleanse the spirit.
Key Aspects of Johrei:
Meaning: The word is derived from Jo (purify) and Rei (spirit), representing the “purification of the spirit” or “divine light”.
Methodology: Practitioners (sometimes using a focal point called an O-Hikari or locket) focus light/energy toward the recipient without physical contact.
Purpose: The goal is to remove “spiritual clouds” (negative energy/toxins) that cause illness and suffering, promoting healing and spiritual growth.
Origin: Founded in 1931 in Japan by Mokichi Okada (Meishu-sama), who taught that it is a method for cleansing the soul and accelerating the creation of a “paradise on earth”.
Outcome: Recipients often report physical healing, stress reduction, and overall wellness through increased spiritual vibrations.
Other Names: Sometimes referred to as a form of “lightworker therapy” or energy healing.
I will clarify in more scientific terms what I mean. Atoms are made of quarks which are energy packets. The brain is an electro-chemical organ that operates in a wide EM bandwidth. Each human brain contains magnetite crystals that connect us to Earth’s magnetosphere. Thought changes our electromagnetic resonance, allowing us to manipulate ultra high frequencies of LIGHT with thought. With no distractions and with peace in our hearts we can channel divine LIGHT through our auric field to where we feel it is needed. We exist in the quantum field therefore, thought, LIGHT and intention are how the Johrei works.
We accumulate clouds of negativity in our auric fields when our thoughts, words and deeds are negative. These clouds can manifest as disease, poverty and conflict in our lives. Also, the clouds of our ancestors are purified by us through the spiritual cords we share. Johrei dissipates our auric clouds over time, facilitating greater health, peace and prosperity.
Doubt, fear, distraction, etc… can dilute the LIGHT. Faith is integrity. Faith is also believing in what we say. Understanding means action with certainty. We give and receive Johrei with a basic understanding of the process, while also understanding there is much more to learn.
