Nervous System Regulation & Reiki: Healing Anxiety at the Root

In my experience, a healthy and regulated nervous system is the foundation of a life without chronic anxiety. When our system is balanced, we can fluidly shift from a “fight or flight” response back into a state of calm and safety.

The Problem: Trapped Stress Energy

The challenge arises when we encounter stressful situations—an attack, a sudden shock, or intense pressure. Our adrenaline spikes, and we feel a surge of intense fear or “energetic charge.”

In the animal kingdom, this energy is released through physical action (fighting or running). However, in our modern world, we often cannot react physically. Instead, we suppress this charge, causing it to become stored as a blockage within our nervous system. Over time, this “trapped stress” leads to exhaustion, anxiety, and a feeling of being constantly “on edge.”

How Energetic Therapy Helps

Through my energy sessions, I work to clear these stored energetic charges.

  • Direct Release: I help dissolve these blockages directly into the field of life energy.
  • Neutralization: Any remaining tension is safely processed and released through my own vessel as a practitioner.
  • Restoration: Once the nervous system is cleared and supported by Universal Life Energy (Reiki), it can return to its natural, healthy function.

Practical Steps for Self-Healing

To support your journey toward a regulated nervous system, I recommend the following practices:

  • Mindful Presence: When you feel overwhelmed, resist the urge to distract yourself with your phone or TV. Instead, sit in silence. Practice mindfulness or simply sit patiently with yourself until you feel your system begin to settle.
  • Dynamic Meditation: Intense physical movement—shaking the body or jumping for about 45 minutes—is an incredibly effective way to physically “shake out” trapped energetic charges.
  • Non-Invasive Energy Work: Reiki, or any gentle, non-invasive method of working with universal energy, provides deep nourishment and soothing for an overtaxed nervous system.
  • Environmental Hygiene: While it is impossible to avoid everything, try to reduce exposure to negative people, crowded/hectic environments, and “toxic” digital content (negative news or social media).
